I would looooove if this would happen. #ded# I would have to familiarize myself with more Tenacious D since I only know a few select songs.

OMG. In the article they bring up Tim Minchin as well. #ded# #ded# I could not handle Tim + Flight of the Conchords in one show. I COULD NOT.

Flight of the Conchords is #32 on Complex Magazine's list of The 50 Funniest TV Comedies of All Time*.

32. Flight of the Conchords
Network: HBO
Air Dates: June 17, 2007–March 22, 2009
Stars: Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie, Rhys Darby, Kristen Schaal

What began as two Kiwis—Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement—playing joke-folk as a stand-up act became an acclaimed HBO original series; you know it as Flight of the Conchords. The program found Bret and Jemaine in NYC, trying to find an American fanbase beyond devoted follower Mel (Kristen Schaal). Ostensibly, their manager Murray Hewitt (Rhys Darby) was supposed to help them with that. But Murray was only good for laughs.

Across two seasons, the Conchords wrote novelty songs that also worked as pop music. In fact, the music worked so well that the show almost became too omnipresent. There is an entire generation of people who know what I'm talking about—you couldn't go to a small college gathering without some jackass wanting to pop in the DVD and play the entire series, like we hadn't already seen it before. College nearly killed this show for so many.

But if you revisit it now (for instance, put on "Business Time" right this second), you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the jokes still work. The American university system could not kill Kiwi comedy.

*That are American-made, live-action, and not sketch comedy. 8-)

I'm furious that Roseanne isn't in the top ten. #40? SERIOUSLY? I think the only thing I'm not #fingerwave# is Arrested Development taking it's rightful place at the top.

Where's Frasier??? That show makes me laugh my face off #haha#

I've never seen Arrested Development but I agree with 30 Rock being up there, it's freaking hilarious.

Btw, you have never known laughter until you've seen Fawlty Towers. #rofl#

Hiram and Burt

Hiram and Burt are two Anything Muppets who appear in a 2010 episode of Sesame Street.

They are hired by Oscar to help with his new company, "Dirtballs", and to spread dirt all over the street. But, each person they give dirt to finds an alternate use for it (instead of using it to get dirty). Hiram and Burt are amazed at what dirt can do and sing a song about dirt. Oscar gets fed up and shuts down the business. Now out of a job, the two decide to go into musical theater and shuffle off singing "Give My Regards to Broadway."

The two are caricatures of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, the singing duo of "Flight of the Conchords." Hiram is made from an Orange Gold Live-Hand pattern and Burt is made from a Pumpkin Live-Hand puppet.

Muppet Wiki

I find it interesting that Burt has darker 'skin' than Hiram. :)
