So, Rhys is great, but I am wondering if the movie itself is worth seeing outside of going just to see Rhys on the big screen. What did you guys think about the movie itself?

I genuinely liked it!!

I haven't seen all of the Jim Carrey movies, so maybe that's why. Evidently, it's in the same format as 'Liar, Liar' and...another one (can't remember). :P I think that's why some of the reviews have been lukewarm ("just another Carrey movie...we've seen this before" yadayada). And I'm surprised to say that I actually liked him in this movie because I wasn't expecting to.

Of course, Rhys just brings the movie up to a whole new level of awesomeness (seriously), and if I were a guy, I'd have a total crush on Zooey Deschanel. ;)

So, in sum, I would recommend this movie, regardless of my love for Rhys. :)

I agree with Jess. It would be good even if it didn't have Rhys in it. But it does,so there you go. ;)

I'm glad you liked it :) I payed for it twice. So I guess I think it's worth double the price of admission? ;)

Nope - a change of plan meant I saw the later showing... :)

I loved it. ;D From someone who has read Yes Man by Danny Wallace, I did have to sit back and completely forget about the book. ;D I was especially interested by the difference as to how he started saying yes, compared to the book. :)

My laughter increased enormously every time Rhys appeared in a scene. Then I couldn't breathe for laughing, both because of Rhys and for imagining Murray doing the same things. ;D ;D

At the end of the HP scene where he says "OK guys!" - all I could think of was "band meeting", which nearly caused me to snort embarrassingly to the whole cinema ;D

I really loved the fact that everyone in the cinema seemed to laugh the most at Rhys - the difference in volume for Rhys' lines was amazing to hear. :)

Also, I found the cameo by Danny Wallace hilarious. Anyone who knows him, watch out for it... ;D

A great film debut for Rhys, I think... :)
