'10 Gig Posters

2010 European tour and all other 2010 gigs here.

by emira » Fri Jun 11, 2010 1:21 pm

Why are you doing this to me! [image]

I'm really tempted to buy both posters, the Birmingham and Las Vegas ones but $70 for two pieces of paper ( [image] ) is really a lot of money! [image]

I had my London 16th and Manchester 11th framed. I ordered the frames and the price is similar to the regular frames here. I'll post the photos when I hang them on the wall. I'll have to buy a house or at least an apartment to put the rest of my posters on the walls [image] .

THIS.IS.AWESOME :o

This is a video demonstrating how my Flight of the Conchords poster (for their show in Amsterdam) can actually be cut out and played with. The costumes and props really fit onto their respective figures.

Please visit www.tragicsunshine.com/newsletter in the coming days for information about the upcoming release.

I'm going to make a copy of my poster and cut out the dolls. [image]

^^ That poster goes on sale tomorrow!

The posters are official and in a limited edition of 80. They are five color, hand screen printed, on 100 lb Steel Gray French Cover Paper. All posters are hand signed and numbered. They cost $25 each and can be found in my online store starting Tuesday at noon (PST).

These Flight of the Conchords posters are special from other posters I have done. ALL the costumes and props can be cut out and fitted onto their respective figures like a paper doll. this is great for the FOTC fan who is hands on. In order to hold everything together, I suggest using adhesive glue dots, the acid free variety that allows for re-use and repositioning, which can be purchased at most hobby/stationary stores.

It’s really hard to cut all these shapes out, so for an additional $12, I can ship you a poster that has the shapes perforated (cut in dotted lines, so it’s not fully cut out and stays in the poster), so you can just punch them out or keep it as a poster. There will be an option at my online store for the cut version. The cut version will only be available for a week and will be limited to 20 orders. Cut and uncut versions can be combined into one order. For cut versions, please allow 2 weeks for shipping.

The cut versions are already sold out. The print is amazing! And the edges of the figures are even and precise!

I'm surprised, because the print on my poster is uneven :-[. When I got it, I thought it's how it's supposed to be :-/

A great blog post from DKNG Studios all about the making of the Hollywood Bowl poster:

ADD:

The band had a few requests including featuring Nigel, a cellist who now serves as the entire New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

This was my favorite part! [image]

I wonder if they simply requested for him to be included, or if they had any preference how (Fligel ;D). And then I wonder if they sent DKNG a picture? [image] The possibilities just get more and more adorable. [image]

Also, I really like their versions of the Femident costumes. :D

Anyway, as predicted, I've been regretting not buying this at the show where it was $30. :-\

this is awesome!!! what caught my eye:

Danny Askar handled the printing for this poster and it was no small feat considering that he would be printing all 5 colors and 300 posters by hand.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

i had no idea they were hand printed and all unique! that's so cool [image]

EEEEEP!

The posters from Berkeley and Las Vegas are finally available on their website [image] [image] [image]

The price is the same as the last year's posters, $30.00.

The Small Stakes has already shipped my Birmingham and LV posters. Yes, I've bought them [image] .

Has anyone who bought the Phoenix poster from last year got a photo of it? I'd like to see how it looks live...
