FOTC Fantasy Covers!

Banter about the rhythm of the movement of the feel of the melody of the rhythm of the feeling of Bret and Jemaine's music. Here you will find the largest known collection of Conchords lyrics and chords.

I love when bands cover other bands' songs. So I was thinking about how cool it would be to hear FOTC do some covers. If you could pick any songs to hear Jemaine and/or Bret cover, what would they be? (How many times can I type cover in one post? haha)

I'll start:
Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House
Life on Mars by Bowie

Two obvious choices, I know. I'm also a fan of Donovan, and I think Dark Eyed Blue Jean Angel would be a good one.

Oh also, if there are any other bands you'd like to hear cover FOTC songs, put them here too.

I'd really like to hear them finish the quarter-attempted cover of the Cellblock Tango they attempted at the Chicago show. :D

Also, I'd like to see Tori Amos try her hand at some FOTC songs. She's done REM and Nirvana, why not?

Man, I WISH. Although it wasn't really a whole-hearted cover, it was just Jemaine trying to remember the "Pop! Six! Squish!" intro and failing...so instead he just started improvising with random sound effects. XD I'd like to see an improvised verse perhaps, maybe in the style of "Ex-Girlfriends?"

Ironically enough, they played at the Chicago Theatre...which is where Roxie and Velma have their first show together.

ok a few months ago i had asked one of my friends to photoshop the guys as the Pet Shop Boys and she never got around to it...because she said she had too many request.
So when that mag came out and they were doing the PSB cover i nearly dropped dead!
TRUE STORY!

so ok covers:

Joy Division (i know not exactly 80's but still would be interesting to see)

Thompson Twins

Eurythmics

the police (they can include Rhys)

this is kinda hard ....i'm trying to keep it duos and 80's but i will have to think about it more first...be back with more.

cake is the first band that's coming to my mind...i'm thinking "mr. mastadon farm" just 'cause it's such a strange song to begin with, and i love it :D also in the vein of strange songs would be anything tmbg, like maybe "ana ng" or "bangs." or anything else, lol.

i remember hearing that the only non-fotc song jemaine knows how to play on guitar is blackbird....would REALLY like to hear that.

and bjork, because i know jem likes bjork, and because that would be incredibly interesting to hear what they'd do with her stuff. doesn't matter which song, any of them would be cool.

ooh and i'd love to hear some duo versions of the video kid songs! :D
